What we do

Four material technologies. One supplier. No assembly required.

Conventional coatings need blasting, dry weather, cure time and a shutdown — and they still fail first at flanges, bolt clusters, weld seams and tank chime edges. Cold-applied wrapping systems are built for exactly those details.

Most suppliers cover one or two of the four categories, so a single tank farm ends up sourced from four vendors with four qualification files. We manufacture all four in-house — petrolatum, viscoelastic, microcrystalline wax and polyolefin — which is why a project can be quoted, produced and shipped as one package.

Petrolatum, microcrystalline wax and viscoelastic compounds stay permanently plastic, displace moisture from the steel surface and conform to irregular geometry. Polyolefin tapes cover the buried pipeline scope. An outer wrap — PE, PP fibre-reinforced or aluminium foil — carries the UV, weather, soil-stress and handling loads.

Applied on live plant

No hot work and no curing schedule, so work proceeds inside permit-controlled areas and during normal operation.

Built for complex geometry

Flanges, bolt clusters, valve stems and weld caps are wrapped rather than coated — and can be cut open, inspected and re-applied at the next turnaround.

Reduced surface preparation

For the petrolatum and wax maintenance systems, St2 hand preparation is sufficient in the applications stated on the data sheet.

Petrolatum Corrosion Protection System

The reference cold-applied system for tank bases, valves, flanges and complex steel. Non-curing petrolatum compounds displace moisture, wet the steel and remain plastic for the life of the system. Three tape grades cover shipboard, industrial and continuously wet or submerged service.

Viscoelastic Corrosion Protection System

A permanently non-curing viscoelastic polymer that cold-flows into surface irregularities and re-seals itself. Selected where the asset geometry is complex, where an existing 3PE or FBE coating has failed locally, or where cathodic protection compatibility and zero VOC are required.

PE / PP Corrosion Protection and Wrapping System

Bitumen-adhesive polyolefin tapes for buried steel pipelines and fittings. Both work in two roles — primary corrosion wrap and protective outer wrap. PE tape is the standard configuration; PP mesh-reinforced tape is selected where soil stress, backfill and handling damage govern.

A microcrystalline wax system for severe, humid, buried and immersed service. Tested against the ASTM / AWWA C217 method set used internationally for wax tape wrapping, with general and high-temperature grades.

Protective Outer Wrap Systems

Outer wraps carry the ultraviolet, weather, soil-stress and handling loads over a completed primary system. Three materials are manufactured — aluminium foil, PE and PP fibre-reinforced — so the outer layer is specified for the actual exposure rather than fixed in advance.

How a system is built

Modular, not a fixed four-layer recipe

Components are selected and combined for the asset. Not every system uses every component: some viscoelastic configurations need no primer, filling compound is used only where the geometry is irregular, and the outer wrap is chosen for the exposure — or omitted where there is none.

Prepare

Primer

Wets the prepared steel, penetrates residual rust texture and inhibits corrosion at the interface.

Used in most systems. Some viscoelastic configurations require none.

Fill

Mastic / paste

Fills gaps, bolt recesses, weld caps and abrupt steps so the wrap makes continuous contact.

Used where the geometry is irregular; not required on plain pipe.

Seal

Corrosion protection tape

The continuous barrier: excludes water, water vapour, oxygen and corrosive media.

Always present. The material is chosen from the environment.

Protect

Protective outer wrap

Resists ultraviolet, weather, soil stress, handling and mechanical damage.

PE, PP fibre-reinforced or aluminium foil. Not required where there is no mechanical or UV exposure.

ISO management systems

ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, issued 18 September 2025 and valid until 17 September 2028 by an CNAS-accredited body. Certificate numbers and the certified scope are published exactly as printed.

Independent test reports

Four CMA / CNAS accredited laboratories, 2024–2026. A faithful English transcription of every report is published alongside the original report number, so any result can be checked against the Chinese original.

A test report records the properties measured on the sample submitted. It is a test result, not a system certification, and it does not qualify a complete installed system unless the report itself states that an installed system specimen was tested.

Field experience

Applied on assets that stay in service

Storage tank annular plate and chime protection is the largest single application area. The petrolatum wrapping systems are also in use on buried valves in gas distribution chambers, on utility lines in metallurgical pipe racks and on bolted structural connections.

The system changes with the climate. The supplier does not.

A tank chime in the Gulf, a jetty pile in Indonesia, a mine pipe rack in Zambia and a buried water main in Alberta are not the same job — and we do not pretend one product covers them all.
